Mrs Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, MD, Rex Insurance was the guest speaker at the Investiture ceremony of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria (ILAN), held on March 25, 2025, which also marked the formal inauguration of its 14th President and Chairman of Council, Pastor Ike Chibueze Udobi, FILA. The event, which convened key stakeholders across Nigeria’s insurance industry, celebrated leadership, professionalism and the continued advancement within the sector.

As the guest speaker of the event, she emphasized the importance of trust as the foundation of insurance. She enumerated that the value of insurance lies in the confidence policyholders place in the system and the industry’s ability to uphold that confidence through fairness and professionalism. “Every professional interaction reinforces trust, trust built through transparency reinforced through professionalism and sustained through collaboration” she stated. She called for stronger collaboration among insurers, brokers, adjusters, and regulators to build a more resilient and trusted insurance ecosystem in Nigeria.

The event was graced by distinguished industry leaders, including the Deputy Director Market Conduct & Complaints National Insurance Commission Olugbenga Jaiyesimei who represented Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, Commissioner for Insurance; Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, President/Chairman of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria; Mrs. Ekeoma Ezeibe, President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers; Mr Kunle Ahmed, Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association amongst other delegates.

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the insurance industry and her continued support for professional excellence, Mrs. Nwachukwu was presented with an Award of Appreciation by the Institute during the ceremony.
