The 51st African Insurance Organization (AIO) Conference and Annual General Assembly, held from May 24 to 28, 2025, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, brought together insurance industry leaders, regulators, and key stakeholders under the theme: “Balancing the Books: Africa’s Debt Problem. Why Does Country Debt Impact Insurers?”

This high-level event provided a valuable platform for in-depth discussions on the intricate relationship between national debt and the insurance sector, exploring strategies to navigate challenges and seize opportunities for sustainable growth.

Rex Insurance was represented by two senior executives: Mr. Sunny Uwagboi, Executive Director, Business Development and Mrs. Adesola Akintayo, Executive Director, Technical Services and both delegates actively participated in a range of interactive sessions engaging with industry experts, peers, and thought leaders.
